In Nakifuma, Naggalama Town Council, Mukono district, there has been a distressing incident at Nakanyonyi Senior Secondary School. Many of the boarding students are currently suffering from serious illness, which is suspected to be due to food poisoning.

To address the severity of the situation, emergency response teams have deployed more than six ambulances and cars to transport the affected students to different medical facilities. Some of the hospitals receiving these students for urgent medical attention include St. Francis Naggalama Hospital, Mukono Church of Uganda Hospital, and Mukono General Hospital.
Naggalama Division Police Commander, Simon Tsamusangire, has confirmed the incident and stated that they are actively investigating the potential cause of the food poisoning outbreak.
Fortunately, no deaths have been reported so far, despite the seriousness of the students' condition, according to Tsamusangire.
Although preliminary medical reports from Naggalama Hospital point towards food poisoning as the probable cause, authorities are continuing their investigation to gather more information.

The unfortunate incident is believed to have occurred during the students' supper on Wednesday, July 19, 2023. In light of this distressing situation, Tsamusangire urges parents to remain calm and assures them that medical personnel are actively managing the crisis.
In other news, there has been blood shed and day robbery at the Forum for Democratic Change FDC party headquarters in Najjankumbi in Kampala as a group of goons attacked and robbed Journalists who came to cover the bloody press conference.
According to the eye witnesses, the attack started at around 3:00pm when goons climbed the wall coming from inside FDC party and attacked the journalist who had been blocked from accessing the party premises.
"Journalists came to cover the press conference in the morning, but to their surprise, they were denied entry without any explanation," Said a senior Journalist. He added that they remained calm and outside the gate waiting for the out come from the meeting. Another Journalist says shortly the FDC party Chairman Amb Birigwa came and was also blocked from out side.
