Manchester United, one of the giants of the English Premier League, has reportedly finalized a deal to bring Danish international striker Rasmus Højlund to Old Trafford.

The respected football transfer expert Fabrizio Romano confirmed the news, stating that United has reached an agreement with Serie A club Atalanta for the 20-year-old's signature.
The deal, worth around €70 million with add-ons, is set to be completed in the next 24 hours as both clubs prepare the necessary documents. Højlund had already agreed to a five-year deal with Manchester United ten days ago, as he had his heart set on joining the club.

Højlund has been on the radar of United manager Erik ten Hag throughout the summer, and the Dutch coach will undoubtedly be delighted that the agreement with Atalanta has finally been reached. The Danish striker joined Atalanta from Austrian side Sturm Graz for £14.5 million last season and scored nine goals in 32 appearances.
This signing comes after United's disappointing loan signing of Wout Weghorst from Burnley last January, which resulted in zero goals from 17 matches for the 30-year-old Dutch forward. Ten Hag will be hoping that Højlund can provide a much-needed boost to the team's attacking prowess.
Højlund is United's third major signing of the summer, following the arrivals of Mason Mount from Chelsea and Andre Onana from Inter Milan. Mount, a 24-year-old midfielder, joined United in a reported £60 million move and brings a wealth of experience from his time at Chelsea, including winning the UEFA Champions League in 2021. He is expected to play a crucial role alongside former Real Madrid legend Casemiro in the midfield.
In goal, United has brought in Andre Onana to replace David de Gea. The 27-year-old Cameroonian international previously worked with Erik ten Hag at Ajax and joined United from Inter Milan for a rumored £47 million.
